Kitchen extension in Gatley, South Manchester

We were contacted by a lovely couple in Gatley, South Manchester who were looking to have an orangery/kitchen extension built on their semi detached house. Between the client and our in-house designers, we came up with a design that met all of the customer’s needs. We had a limited budget and agreed on development days that worked around the customer’s schedule.

The kitchen extension itself is a ‘permitted development’, this means all the design and build did not require planning permission, however it was built to meet building regulations in accordance with council building inspectors.

The project consists of a brick block construction with a flat orangery roof. We advised that full width bi-fold doors would allow for maximum natural light and a high quality finish to the overall look and feel. The interior has a log-burner fitted into a chimney breast which really adds a cosy feel during the winter months.

This particular project took us just over 9 weeks to complete which was well within the agreed timescale and budget. The customer’s were really pleased with their new extension and we’ve had so many compliments about it.

“Broadhead Developments went above and beyond to make our dream orangery come true. We are so happy with our development, it has totally transformed our house along with the landscaping of our south facing garden. They are a great set of lads.”
